I have taught in a variety of secondary and grammar schools in London. Before becoming a teacher, I was a community support specialist and youth mentor in Chicago, followed by several years as professional crew aboard ocean-voyaging tall ships dedicated to teaching traditional methods of seamanship.
Drawing on my diverse life experiences and professional commitment to character education, I started School Blazers with a vision for helping students discover the deep thinking skills which often get lost in the daily classroom grind but are so vital for academic success.

I hold a PGCE in Secondary Education and an MA with distinction in English.
